"American Pie" by Don McLean
"American Pie," I think is a great song, but a sad song. It basically is about the death of Classic Rock. This is said in the song's refrain, "The day the music died." Back then, rock songs were actually beautiful, especially when it came to the topic of love. Take Frank Sinatra for example, he sang several love songs that were fantastic and beautiful. But sadly, nowadays, songs have been replaced by pop songs that seem pointless and misinterpret the concept of love.
"The Piano Man" by Billy Joel
"Piano Man," I think is another great song that proves a good point: we are all going to be stuck in life sometime or another. Be it yesterday, today, or tomorrow. I kind of want to go to the bar described in the song.
